About the Film
Silent is a 20-minute documentary that shines a light on life after knife crime, through the voices of three mothers:
- One grieving a son who was murdered
- Another whose child committed a crime
- A third caring for a son left with permanent life-changing injuries
The film isn’t just about tragedy. It’s about healing, resilience, and the road toward meaningful change.
Why It Matters
Knife crime may dominate the headlines for a day—but its impact lasts forever. Silent captures the emotional aftermath when the cameras leave, and the phone stops ringing. It challenges us to listen, reflect, and respond—not just to what’s easy to see, but to what we often ignore.
A Catalyst for Action
Beyond the documentary, Silent is a call to community—an invitation to get involved, take action, and make a difference. Through the “What Will You Do?” workshop, participants write down personal commitments to positive change, contributing to a collective Wall of Action.
